Initial Product & Market Analysis
Advantages and requirements from an initial product analysis as well as a market research were extracted and formulated in potentials. These potentials were key for the first ideation phase.
Later in the process, ideas were tranlated into product designs by sketches and quick digital models. Feasibility and functionalities were verified by low-fidelity physical mock-ups.
Air In My Direction
Due to the asymmetric structure of the frame, this design allows users to choose from a variety of airflow angles by lying it on the particular side.
Safety First
The ribs on the backside both segment and protect the intake vent. So AKA doesn't need all intakes to provide the airflow - considerably minimizing the risk of overheating.
In case AKA accidentally falls on the front side, the knob in the center locks and switches AKA off.
Clean Me Up
AKA's casing allows for easy cleaning with a simple click. All the
interior components are protected by the safety cage.
One Button
A single button - as intuitive and simple as
possible. Positioned in the middle of the fan for an instant and reliable feedback.
Smartphone App
For remote control and deeper settings, the smartphone app provides plenty of features such as timer, repeater and desired temperature.
